Morgan is rated pretty high and would fall right in nicely with our #9 slot....

If Schobel is gone and Maybin moves to OLB we might be going this route

I dont see how in any way we pass on Rolando McClain for Morgan. If we do go the LB route with the first pick, there is no way we should pass on the best LB in this Draft. If McClain is gone, it wouldnt be bad at all to pick Morgan, but only if McClain is gone. Anthony Davis, Bryan Buluga still on the board as well, it maybe time we think about a LT as well.

Not even for the highest rated DE in the draft. Morgan is a 3-4 capable DE , and Schobel might be retiring.... Maybin will move to OLB'

However Bulaga handled Morgan with ease in the Orange bowl... So I would rather us grab Bulaga

every scouting report i read is he wont transition well as a DE in a 3-4. If drafted by a 3-4 Defensive team, he will be moved to a LB, which may not utilize all his skills, but if thats the case for our team, we should take the best LB in the draft, not try to take a DE and covert him to LB, we already have that in Aaron Maybin.

P.S. i am not trying to compare maybin to morgan, i beleive morgan is a better prospect coming out of college, just i would like to see us not try to convert a DE to LB, when we could take a legit and star LB who will be a pro bowl in his career.

Buluga or Davis may be a better choice at 9 than morgan, because of need, but i beleive only if McCLain is gone.

-Mays is way too high right now
-Gresham, Ducasse, Carrington, Washington, and maybe Iupati aren't really 1st round prospects, imo.
-Morgan isn't a bad pick if he can make the switch
-Weatherspoon is an OLB not an ILB

If the Bills don't draft a QB at 9, I would hope they go for the OT.

Mays is ranked way too high...he is too slow to be a safety, so his only chance is a switch to LB, and I'm not sure that is even do-able right now.

Never heard of Ducasse either...is he really a 1st round talent, or is that just a "need" pick?

I def. could see Gailey taking Morgan there if available...hell he already has half of GT on his coaching staff, I'm sure all of them will be in his and Buddy's ear if he is available when they are on the clock.

FCS OT prospect who had a very very good Senior Bowl. Right now is a 2nd-3rd Round prospect but with some good workouts could sneak into Round 1.

Some more info;

LT #72 VLADIMIR DUCASSE, MASSACHUSETTS

Ducasse started the week measuring in at 6045, 326 pounds at the weigh-in and was a pleasant surprise after some reports that he played around the 340 range last season. While many outlets are talking about how disappointed they are in Ducasse it is very unfair to say he can’t play tackle in the NFL because he has gotten the attention of NFL scouts at that position and we have all seen crazier things happen. One thing most are right about though is that he is more than likely a guard at the next level but they don’t explain why. When you look at him he has the big butt, tree trunk thighs, long arms, thick core, and overall mammoth body that you look for in a prototype guard. He is big enough for tackle but has that build for an offensive. He is still raw though and needs a lot of coaching, which is one reason why you can’t cross out a position until he is evaluated after coaching because some of what he struggles at playing tackle are things that he can improve. George Selvie got him to cross his feet and get turned around on one pass rush and that is something that coaching will fix at the next level. He needs to keep his base wide and a tackle can never cross their feet or else a good end will win the battle. As a run blocker he is dominant as he posted two knockdown blocks and did not give up a sack in the game. He has a strong punch and while he needs to work on his feet he has the potential to be a solid starter in the NFL. He clearly showed he belonged despite not dominating and we believe he has firmly put himself in the second round after this week.

STATS- 2 knockdowns, 0 sacks allowed.

Just to reiterate... Mays is a late 1st, mid 2nd rounder at best.

I take Davis/Bauluga first, snag some LB potential in the 2nd, followed by Pike in the third. Aside from the Bills? I don't see the Jets drafting an outside guy, the Cards drafting a TE first round, and Clausen going 6th. Other ones are pretty much speculation as to what MIGHT happen, but a TE in the first has been declining recently (Hey let's go Brandon Pettigrew!).

**** the Super Bowl, let's bring March on! Where the non-storyline/scripted teams get to make their useless transitions. I reiterate my assumption that the NFL is OFFICIALLY scripted if the Saints win the Super Bowl. Are they the better team? No. Are they the best storyline? Yes.

Geez. a 4.3-4.4 is slow? I want to know what you consider to be fast.

This is the Raiders we're talking about. You guys still think Al Davis is a logical human being? You honestly think Heyward-Bey was worth a top 10 pick last year???

I didnt do this mock draft based on where they "should" go. I did this mock draft based on where i think they'll go.

But anyways. On to mock draft v2.

McClain is the highest rated ILB by most but he is not the highest rated pass rusher. If you want a pass rusher at #9, Morgan is a realistic pick, although I think there are players better suited for the 3-4 than him.
