    Pennington?

I don't know if Pat hasn't had time to get this started yet, but after I cleaned up the vomit on my lap...I figured I would get it out there...

    BSD- Pennington being considered

May be a little BS, not by Pat, but maybe consideration isn't that strong, but is open as an option. I hope....

Of all the options, I think I dislike Pennington the least...I think. He does have a history of being able to win, and maybe his football IQ, which would be different from Edwards and Fitzy's Stanford and Harvard IQ's respectfully, would make him a great QB for Gailey.

Well since the author is Pat, I'm not worried that it will happen.

Exactly. If it's the same people that told him about the HC search or the DC search, i think it's a safe bet that Pennington won't even be considered as an option.

Pennington would be a great pick up if it costs us little to nothing. He is a great QB to have a rookie sit behind for a season.

Don't let your disdain for the man hide what could be a cheap stop gap that doesn't raise ethical or financial drama.

I'd be interested in Pennington for a short term starter. If he plays smart and can still throw the intermediate well, then sure.

I'm betting we run the ball 65% of the time. So that does us some good if we do indeed sign Pennington. His arm is weak, but he is extremely accurate, and has had success in this leauge. And like the article says, he knows our division. I'd welcome him.

Quite honestly, there is no better option than Pennington (if fit) available. The bottom line is, the guy knows what he's doing, and has proven that to be the case on many occasions.
He also is very capable of being a mentor to someone like Brohm, or Edwards for that matter. That is something that the Bills QB position has been sadly missing in recent years.

According to the 'source' Pennington would be mentoring a rookie draft pick, not somebody currently on the roster.

Must be a 2 for the price of 1 sale on 'scoops' at BSD this weekend...Chad + looking to draft a QB.

Chap P and his noodle arm would equal 8 in the box, since his version of the bomb is 8 yards. Could you see those throws, come Nov-Dec ?

We already have that type of QB in Trentative and I want him off the team.

I want a QB who can throw the ball down the field and actually find his WR's.

Didn't Nix say that he wanted a QB that could deal with the wind factor in Buffalo (or something like that)? Not sure Chad can do that if he's considered a noodle arm.

All the complaints on this board about Edwards "checking down" instead of throwing deep, and now we should go out and get Pennington?

I'd rather give Trent another shot with a better offensive line.
