The best quarterback on the field Thursday morning during the Broncos' minicamp practice was not new starter Jake Plummer, but backup Steve Beuerlein.

Time after time, the 38-year-old Beuerlein set up in the pocket, quickly found his receiver and delivered a perfect strike. All the while, Plummer watched, admired and, most important, learned....

Denver native Richard Hermosillo stood patiently in line, waiting to get his picture taken with new Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer.

Hermosillo came well-prepared. He wore a white Broncos No. 16 jersey with "Plummer" stitched on the back. The jersey was a gift for Hermosillo's 25th birthday.

Plummer has yet to throw an official pass in a Broncos uniform, but he was a big attraction Saturday at the Broncos' Fan Fair at Invesco Field at Mile High....
