Now, Seattle will either have Bradford or Clausen fall into there laps staying where they are. 2nd, Seattles biggest need is LT. They have none. 3rd, if we pass on Clausen without addressing QB in draft, ill be sick. Lastly, why is ILB more of a need than OLB?

I'd be surprised (and pissed) if four of the top five guys off of the board are big guys. I like that we're taking one also, though.

        1) Bradford is worth a high first, Clausen is not IMHO. If i was in charge of Seattle my goal is to jump over Washington to guarantee i get Bradford. After looking at the 3 teams in front of Washington, i settled on StL needed more picks the most... i was meaning to make it the 2 firsts and 3rd this year... but Seattle doesn't have a 3rd this year... and the value for a 2nd next year is roughly worth a 3rd this year.

Finally... though the Rams might just sit there and take Bradford themselves, i think the mock drafts that have them taking Suh are smoking something. DT might be a need... but it's not close to the core of the myriad of problems the Rams have, and Suh won't fix their atrocious offense. I thought if a team with 2 first rounders came calling STL would seriously listen... as WR and QB is far higher on their needs list then DL.

        2) yes but they have damned near as big a need at WR and QB, again, if i was in charge of the seahawks this is the move i make. that does not mean i'm right. it's just where i would go with it.

        3) If we pass on LT we might as well write off next year too. Period. this isn't a joke. we can win 8 games... maybe more with Edwards, look at the Jets, right now Sanchez is a worse QB then Edwards. No QB we get will finish the year behind that line with those tackles. If by some miracle Bradford is there at 9, yes... take him over tackle. But he won't be. of that i'm fairly sure.

        4) We Have 3 or 4 players who probably could do pretty good at OLB with the 34 we're switching to, we only have one maybe 2 possible ILB for the 34, had we stayed in the 43 OLB would have been a higher need... in the 34 ILB goes higher, and oddly OLB becomes less of a need.

-BTW: i did look long and hard at Carlos Dunlap and Jason Pierre-Paul at our pick. They have the body shape and size of an ideal 34 DE, but after looking at their play it was pretty clear Dunlap is too slow out of the 3 point stance to ever make an effective passrusher in the pros (he's not very physical in the run game either), and Pierre-Paul in spite of his size was way too raw to justify a pick that high. I also looked at Derrick Morgan as both a OLB/DE and came to the conclusion he would make a better 43 DE, then a 34 OLB, and a poor 34 DE (he looks smaller then his bio claims, so i doubt he's 6'4", he's probably 6'2" or shorter). I also looked At Dan Williams and reviewed Jimmy Clausen again; while Williams intrigued me, he struck me as too much of a risk that high, and i just confirmed what i already knew about Clausen (not on my team!)

Washington, Seattle, Cleveland and KC are all likely to go OT.

It depends how the draft shakes out, but you could see 4 OTs gone before we pick. I doubt it... but it could happen.

I think it's almost guaranteed that at least 2 OTs are gone before our pick, 1 QB, and 2 DTs... beyond that i think it's a crapshoot.

I like the Bulaga pick. Cody may be good value in the second, I guess I wouldn't mind that.

Just FYI, you've got Arrelious Benn going to the Jets at #29 and to Cleveland at #38.

Out of curiosity, specifically regarding the Bills, would you be happy with those two picks? Or is that just what you expect them to do?

Love Cody in the 2nd rd. Not big on Bulaga at #9, but I could live with it. I want Clausen at #9 if still there.

Buffalo sounds as if they have a really top notch strength and conditioning tandem. If Terrence Cody has any motivation at all to excell, I imagine they can help him knock off the excess weight and get him to the point where he can be a four down NT who doesn't have to take a lot of plays off. The key is motivation and self discipline.

Yeah... i really don't like the Cody Pick, i spent a great deal of time looking at the other DTs available at that pick, and came to the conclusion, that though he might eat himself out of the league in a few short years, there really wasn't anyone else as good available.

In all reality, he might be off the board before our pick in the 2nd...

Thought you said Mays wouldn't get drafted in the first 2 rounds....???

I didn't like the pick either... the vikings pick was nearly Dan Lefevour or Tony Pike, but Safety (either) is hands down their biggest need right now. The problem is, while i think Mays can't play safety in the league there aren't any safeties who might be able to play pro-ball at that position in this draft from what i can see (this is a horrid draft for DBs, once you get past the top 4 guys)

So... i figured a team like the vikings might take a flier on him... because other then reaching on a QB, or maybe reaching on an OT (McKinney might have made the probowl but he was easily the weakest link on their line) who probably couldn't unseat McKinney, i reached on Safety because it's a massive need.

In all reality i don't think he can play safety in the league... so that would be a wasted pick perhaps. But i don't see anyone else who makes sense there other then QB.

My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.

                          MY WIFE SAID THAT!!!

It depends how the draft shakes out, but you could see 4 OTs gone before we pick. I doubt it... but it could happen.

I think it's almost guaranteed that at least 2 OTs are gone before our pick, 1 QB, and 2 DTs... beyond that i think it's a crapshoot.
So you don't think it's almost guaranteed that Eric Berry is gone before our pick? If he were available at #9 to the Bills do you give him any consideration even though you don't have safety listed as a need? I don't know if I could justify the pick, but he seems like a really special player for his position.

Also, I've seen some mocks that have Joe Hayden going in the top 10. Any chance of that happening? I would love to see a couple DB's off the board before our pick.

No matter what Joe Haden is a top 15 pick. If he runs a sub 4.4 40 he is a lock for top 10.
