After rumors started to surface about the Bills having multiple talks with Eagles about McNabb we decided to dive deeper. Talking with a source within the Eagles organization (not in a front office role), McNabb is open to playing in Buffalo. But really wants to stay in Philadelphia. We asked our source to speak directly with the QB he said he didn’t have to.
“I know what he thinks about Buffalo. We’ve talked about it before. Recently in fact. He doesn’t like trade rumors, he wants to be an Eagle. If he gets a say, he remains an Eagle. But, talking to him about the teams being thrown out there he would be open to Buffalo. Like I said though, he wants to be an Eagle.”
We asked our source if McNabb would be able to get the Bills over the hump.
“Yes.”
Care to elaborate?
“He is a player. He will win wherever he goes.”

I'd be psyched as long as the price is right.

Meaning no top end picks, and not trading Lynch.

Addition through subtraction clearly isn't the way to go.

of all the stupid QB ideas being thrown around- Clausen, Bradford, Vick, Carr, Orton, Troy Smith, Garcia- this is the only one that makes any sense whatsoever.

Get McNabb or live with what we have for another year.

I have a feeling McNabb will stay an Eagle, unless a team gets really desperate for him. The Eagles will keep him one more year, because I doubt many teams will want to trade high picks for McNabb, which is probably what it will take.

That's nice to hear, though. At least he doesn't hate the idea of going to Buffalo.

I'd be in favor of trading Lynch and Whiter to the Eagles for McNabb and a 3rd.

I don't think I'd put the Bills in that category. Our draft picks are too valuable (especially the 1st and 2nd rounders) to trade for a one-year rental of a good QB. Would he really help us that much in one year, that we should trade away a draft pick?

Ok, I should let you know that someone in the Buffalo area just messaged me to tell me that WGR just reported almost the same thing I did.

I did NOT read anything or hear anything from a separate media body before posting this on my site. So, if you heard a report on WGR I did NOT copy off of it.

This is my own source, completely separate from anything posted anywhere else.

I have nothing to gain from lying to you. I get no revenue from my site or the rumors I post there.

So, to clarify this is the message I received.

"Too slow. Wgr reported McNabb open to Bills a little while ago."

If anyone wants to back that up with a link, that would be awesome.

I hate posting "sources" now. Trust me, after the whole coaching source debacle which saw some of the worst Bills message board posting in years, I don't want to think about rumors anymore.

But, I figured you guys would like to know this information.

I would give up a second round pick for McNabb without even thinking.

Grab a LT in FA like Tra Thomas who was his LT for a long time and a defensive player with our first pick.

1) I heard the asking price was a 2nd rounder (Cardinals rumor). I'd imagine a Bills 3rd would be strongly considered by the Eagles.

2) Interesting trade idea on another board was Schobel for D'Nabb straight up.
