RAVENS COACH Brian Billick may have been premature in recently comparing rookie quarterback Kyle Boller to Warren Moon, but after the team completed its second passing camp yesterday, you could understand his excitement.
But not just about Boller. All three of the Ravens' top quarterback prospects, Boller, Chris Redman and Anthony Wright, have shown zip on their passes. For the first time since the Ravens started playing in Baltimore, the team has three quarterbacks who can bring the heat.
When general manager Ozzie Newsome was asked if there was a trio in Ravens history that compared to this one, he thought for a second and then replied: "Never." Billick took even less time despite going back to his days as Minnesota's offensive coordinator.
"No, we've got some arms out there," Billick said. "Across the board, I haven't worked with a group that has had as much arm strength."
It's still early, and the Ravens don't begin training camp until the third week of July, but there is a feeling that the Ravens are going to get their quarterback of the future out of this group.
