It would be really nice to win this one going into the break.

Sabres D is playing tigher- only 2 real scoring chances given up in the first 10 minutes.

The offense still looks out of sync though. Too many neutral zone turnovers, no real sustained pressure.

great steal and move by Pominville- too bad he still can't finish the job.

and Roy misses another golden opportunity. So far, Roy, Pominville and Vanek have all missed great chances. This game should be at least 2-9 by now.

Vanek should have 4 goals already though. Last game, Roy had to bail him out. Tonight, it was Pominville.

Great game so far.

If Vanek actually finished off his chances it would be at least 5 or 6 to nothing right now.

Great, now Darcy has a reason to do nothing before the trade deadline. He will now have the excuse that we broke out of the slump! :ill:

Feels good to win again. Ottawa is losing right now so Buffalo might take first place back over. Sens play tomorrow but even if they win and take first back, the Sabres will have 3 games in hand on them once they return from the break.

Proud once again to be drinking from my Sabres coffee mug this morning. :) That was a great game to watch! Enjoyed every minute of it, and in HD to boot!
