We are beta-testing a pickem contest for the NFL games at BillsZone.com. Once you enter the Pick-Em zone during the week, you must participate in making picks for that week.
Each away team will have a spread. A negative spread means the value gets subtracted from the away teams final score and if that value is greater than the home teams score the away team will score a win for that week. A positive spread means the value gets added to the away teams final score and if that value is greater than the home teams score the away team will score a win for that week. In both cases if the home teams final score is greater the home team will be the winner for that game. Ties will be ties and no one will get points for those games. Pick the team that scores a win to accumulate points but be carefull, picking a loser will subtract points as well.
SCORING:
For each game you pick correct, you will receive a score of 20pts.
For each game you pick incorrect, you will receive a score of -10pts.
On ties, no one will receive points for that game.
Keep in mind if you enter the pickem-zone and see the current week and the update pick's link appears at the bottom of the page, you must make a pick for each game or you will be scored with a loss for each game you fail to make a pick. In other words, you must pick each game in this contest. You cannot choose what games you want to pick and others you don't.

BillsZone reserves the right to panic if there are any obstacles during the beta test. For this first week we are going to leave the game open for picking until saturday night at midnight. At approximately midnight on Saturday the game will be locked and you will no longer be able to submit your picks so make your picks before the deadline! This means everyone participating in the game this week will get a freebie with the Thursday night game...you just have to make sure you have properly selected the winner of that game before the game is locked.
Once all games for the week have been completed the final scores will be entered and all the picks scored. The game will then be unlocked for picking to begin on the next week.
