Kesler and the Canucks put off their contract talks until this Summer. He will essentially hit the open market. He is a RFA. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for us to trade for him. Offer sheets are too messy and involve us likely giving up too much in draft picks.

I know very FEW of you actually watch West Coast games or Canucks games, but they are my other team (other than the Sabres), and Kesler is a F**KING MONSTER.

i like him too i have seen him play in the olympics and a few other games love his game, i like Dustin Brown and Penner too, Bobby Ryan... those style players are the guys i would love to add and get rid of some of our panzy players

The deal didn't get done before the season, or during the first several months of the season. Kesler competed for Team USA in the Winter Games still in the walk-year of his current contract (three years worth a total of $5.25 million (http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2007/05/24/canucks-kesler-contract.html?ref=rss), signed in 2007).
