The no touch icing should be an NHL rule.

How many more players have to get injured trying to avoid the icing call before the league changes this rule?

LaFontaine ring a bell?

Wasn't LaFontaine pursing? I thought the international rule is in place to protect the defense.

It would protect both.

Some of the most exciting plays in hockey come from beating out an icing, and players trying to beat out an icing is one of the most entertaining parts of the game imo.

The ECHL incorporates the no touch icing rule. I like that rule as well. With the no line change allowed and I think it is fair.

i don't know...you see people kind of coast in the olympics.

There is something awesome about a team trying to get the icing waved off and get their players to the bench, but pay a price of missing the puck and staying on.

i agree, the injuries can be devastating and it seems like the game moves faster with no touch icing.
