A couple guys who could contribute for us, even though McShay for some reason doesnt include us in his 'possible landing spots' for any of them and has NE as being a landing spot for just about all these guys...maybe he doesnt know we're running a 3-4 now?

2. North Carolina DT Cam Thomas (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2010&id=25136): The Senior Bowl was not an ideal forum for this 331-pound inside plugger to showcase his potential value in the NFL, and the combine won't be any better. Still, Thomas is one of the better two-gap run-stuffers in this year's defensive tackle class, and his kind is in high demand in the NFL right now. Don't be surprised to hear his name called at some point during Round 2.
Possible homes: Denver, Miami, Pittsburgh, New England, San Diego, New York Jets

4. Ohio State DE Doug Worthington (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2010&id=25135): Worthington is not a great athlete and did very little to garner attention at the East-West Shrine game. However, after studying more film, it's obvious he has the size, strength and discipline to contribute -- certainly in a rotation and perhaps eventually as a starter -- as a 5-technique (3-4 defensive end) in the NFL. Look for Worthington to come off the board early on Day 3.

No thanks on Worthington in any regard, and I dont like taking players (Thomas) way above where they should be taken simply because the supply is so limited.

Not that it means anything because it doesn't, but just in case anyone didn't know, Worthington is a WNYer who played his HS ball at St. Francis

He has the same agent as all the UB players in the NFL and trying to get in this year (Roosevelt, Starks)

I hope he gets picked and does well.

If we don't have a NT come draft day, I'd take Thomas in the 3rd without thinking twice.

I won't pretend I'm a McShay Kiper wanna-be and talk about him being stiff in the hips or his bench press reps. But I wish Doug luck wherever he lands. Gotta support the local kids.

I bet he gets scooped though. I still think Torrell Troup could play NT.
