INDIANAPOLIS — Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour said Friday that he indeed will throw at the NFL Scouting Combine. It just will be to stationary targets, not moving receivers.
“I just did that because I want to throw to guys that I’m used to, get a little work under center, get into rhythm a little more,” said LeFevour, who added that he would throw at Central Michigan’s pro day March 24.
“I was one of the first ones to commit to the Senior Bowl (last month) and supported that, so I’m not afraid to compete,” LeFevour said. “I’m doing what I think is best (at the combine). Obviously, I’m not shying away from anything. … I just want to put the best product out there and do the best I can on pro day.”
Quarterbacks deciding not to throw has become the combine’s top storyline. Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow are considered the top four QBs, but all will not throw for various reasons. LeFevour leads the second tier of QBs, although he told reporters Friday that he hopes to move up the draft boards.

Smart move. He has a very live arm, and nothing to lose.

If McCoy is just 6'1" i'd be stunned if Clausen is much taller.
