That guy is a specimen plain and simple. He is having a Vernon Davis style combine so far.

Someone is going to spend a very high pick on him. He just looks like an incredible athlete.

Saw that. Also did 34 reps. Id take him in a heartbeat. Not at 9, move back up into late round one or move down to get him.

I think he will be gone in the top 20. Someone will not be able to ignore his workout and fall in love.

Could be. Slide down to 15 or so and take him.

I still think Davis has looked very athletic as well, and will go after Okung, but before Campbell. Hes more polished, Campbell has better upside.

Mayock is making a case that his tape shows hes raw and needs a lot of polish. That's what we all saw too. Athletically, hes the guy I want.

It's the bills...they'll take Tebow and watch him develop for three years.

He was just listed on the boom or bust segment, due to inconsistent play.

We need him to be an effective LT, not a workout warrior.

Sometimes they look like Tarzan and play like Jane.

I wouldn't touch Davis. Weak technique and his drive blocking and punch are disappointing for a big man.

Don't like his pass blocking either. I would take Campbell at #9 before I take Davis at 20.

Which is the case. He is a terrific pass blocker, weak run blocker.

His tape shows he needs polish and to work on his run game blocking. But it also shows hes a solid pass protector. I dont see it black and white, I think hes a very good prospect who could end up one of the best LT's out of this group in the next few years.

I think the boom or bust label is based on his rawness.

Its also based on his inexperience at LT and the fact that all his experience is in a ZBS.

Anthony Davis is having a horrific combine, imo.

right Campbell's got Al Davis written all over him.

he's putting up the type of combine Davis just can't say no to right now (it helps that tackle is a position of need for the Raiders too)

Ive mocked Campbell to Oakland a few times now, its just too much for Al Davis to move.

Just blew up the vertical. He may have the highest vertical ever for an OL.

Not me either. But i think we can pencil him in to Oakland now... as long as some kid doesn't break off a sub 4.2

Me neither. At least not the ones that matter... can the guy pass and run block in the NFL.

What it may answer is whether there is some physical limitation keeping him from playing LT.

That worked out well for the Jets with Vernon Gholston.

Well I thought St. Peire was a lock for the Raiders but I guess it's campbell now.

Campbells official time is 4.85. Hollidays is 4.34.

Trent Williams ran a 4.88... interesting.

I would have two questions on Bruce Campbell.

1. How much of a risk does his injury history present?

2. How coachable is he?

If his injury history does not suggest an undue risk of future injury, and he works hard and takes to teaching, then any weakness he has in run blocking is not a huge deal.

TOP 10 now having the best combine so far.
May be the 2nd OT off the board now.

I really cant see that. I see Bulaga and Okung at least going before him. Add in Davis, and a more athletic then some thought Trent Williams, he could be the 4th or even 5th OT taken.

I think his showing helped solidfy that he has the athleticism to play LT. But it doesnt do anything to show that hes a solid blocker against the run or that hes technically sound all round. Hes a raw guy and the only way he improves that is on the field.

Just my opinion.

But it certainly didnt hurt him.

His kick slide was even more impressive then the 40 time.

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that "multiple teams" have a fourth-round grade on Maryland LT Bruce Campbell, despite his awesome Combine.

Another source described Campbell's 2009 play on film as "terrible." It's worth noting that during Campbell's post-workout interview Saturday, the NFL Network showed numerous clips of Campbell missing blocks and getting overpowered at the point of attack. NFLN's Mike Lombardi, a former Raiders employee, predicts Campbell will be drafted by Al Davis at No. 8 overall.

From rotoworld.com

Campbell did great in the 40, good in the bench, but was behind several other prospects (notably Veldheer, Saffold) in other drills like the 20-yard shuttle and the 3-cone drill. Thought that was interesting.

Williams ran almost as fast (4.88), had a 2" higher VJ, faster shuttle, and longer BJ (ahem). The biggest concern is just 23 reps of 225#.
