Stupid move. Now we have to replace 2 wrs instead of one. Granted Reed wasn't that good, but he was serviceable. There was a reason he was starting over the rest of the sub-average talent at WR. So this offseason will be spent trying to fill 2wr positions when there are plenty of other holes to fill, like 3 or 4 linebackers, DE, OL.

Talk about putting all your eggs in the Hardy or Johnson basket.

Hardy Johnsons are nothing to snicker about.

I'm a fan of both, but do I trust either one in a 16-game season yet? Nope

They might have something lined up.
Don't think they would drop 2 WR'S if no plan...

Sounds like we are starting fresh at every position.

Chan's ex-player Calvin Johnson would be nice hahaha

Yeah we will really miss his two catches for 20 yds a game. Guy is slow and will be easily replaced. Chan and Buddy seen the tape and it didn't take them long either.

Damn, cause there's no such thing as Free Agency.

Antonio Bryant, Kevin Walter, and Chris Chambers would all be upgrades over Reed. I liked Reed for what he was, but let's not get crazy here

WR's make no difference when you have no QB and no OL. See Evans, Lee and Owens, Terrell. Or go back in time a little and see Moulds, Eric.

Moulds had a good career in Buffalo with some bad QB's

if you're going to start your 11th year of rebuilding, you might as well do it right.

One of. We're sitting comfortably alongside the Browns and Lions.

As much as I liked Reed as a no.3 and how he was an awesome teammate who was the most consistent wr in recent years, we can do better. We can and we should try to upgrade that position.

Well lately, but the Raiders won 3 Super Bowls. And that's 3 more than the teams I grouped together.

i'm glad josh reed can go to a real NFL offense now, most under appreciated player this team has had.

Reed is the one guy I would have kept. He is a reliable possession receiver who catches the ball, moves the chains, and blocks like a demon. The Bills have created a situation of having one proven WR, Lee Evans, and a bunch of "let's hope they develop" guys.

It's not like we didn't have enough holes already.

Replacing Josh Reed type production can be done in so many ways. It's not a big deal at all.

josh reed is a cost vs production decision. he's decent, but based on his age and his production, does he warrant it?

If the bills were a good team with a stud #1 WR and a powerful #2 like Moulds/Price, reed is a great role player. When you have no receivers and think that he's a #2 or #3, he won't be that guy and will be shut down.

I like the move.

It may look that way. However, will they be as willing to accept the roll that Reed did? Will they also be as consistent in that roll? Reed did not complain about his limited opportunities to touch the ball. He just made the most of what he was offered.

Reed was very reliable despite being used sparingly. It says something about a player when the game situation, coupled with Buffalo's limited offensive imagination, pretty much dictated the ball going to Reed - and he often came through with the catch.

I'm going with giving the Chan Clan the benefit of the doubt for now. They've got a plan.
