oh come on, Pittsburgh fans are the best in the U.S. Even as a Bills fans I can admit that. That city is as diehard about their sports as any I have ever seen, and I have lived a lot of places. Granted, I hate the Steelers more than anybody, but you can't deny the fans passion from that city.

Please tell me you're kidding. Passionate fans don't mean good fans. They are the most ignorant fans on the planet.

Penguin fans are awful. While the Pens were tanking for three straight years for draft picks, they couldn't give away tickets to the Pens games.

Don't forget how close they were to moving to Kansas City.

People weren't going to games because the stadium is a dump and the Pens were horrible. So, you are saying they should have sold out to watch that? No thanks. The hockey Gods shined down on the Penguins when the lottery came and they got Crosby. They will dominate now for years and years to come.

Pittsburgh fans are diehard great fans. Just because the Pirates suck doesn't mean that the fans of Pittsburgh aren't diehard about them...it's just the fact that they have been terrible for so long.

I am not singling out fans of just the Pens, I am talking about the city of Pittsburgh as a whole. I mean hell, they are the city of champions. It pains me to say it as such a Steeler hater, but it's the truth.

I would try to debate any sort of hockey with them and they would talk about the City of Champions even back then in 99-2000. They must be just impossible to deal with now. No one knew any players on the team out side of the stars. Sure there were some guys that were diehard but very few non bandwagoners.

In my opinion it is similar for football even. Yes I am aware they are more knowledgable about football but they don't show it. Never would they pull out facts or valid arguments it would be all "EUUGEEh city of Champions BLASLADFFFF" in that horrendous accent they have. Before I went to College down there I actually didn't mind any of their teams, but after 4 years I hate the Steelers and Penguins on par with Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Maple Leafs.

I hate Pittsburgh teams more than any team in any sport. I'm glad you at least understand where I'm coming from because sometimes it's difficult to explain how bad they are.

Hockey wasn't that bad when they won the Cup because even the wagon hoppers had a hard time giving me **** when both of us knew they didn't actually follow the team throughout the season or beyond that.

Football is easier for them to hop on because it's a short season and highlights are more readily available on ESPN, so they can act like they know a thing or two about the game.

I hate them. I hate the city. I hate everything about the colors black and yellow.

Living in Western PA for most of my life, I couldn't disagree more...and that's coming from a Bills fan. I don't know what fans you are referring to Corey, but I know hundreds of die-hard Pens fans that know everything about the team...not just recent stuff with them being good. You must have been in the wrong crowd of losers who didn't know their asses from a hole in the ground. Pittsburgh is an unbelievable sports town and one who loves their sports teams, whether they are good or bad.

The opinion's of a couple jealous Sabre's fans doesn't change the fact that their city is 10X more successful than Buffalo. And like I said, this is coming from a diehard BILLS FAN

I was referring to the entire campus of Slippery Rock Unversity which consisted of 90% Pittsburgh residents. They came from all areas of the city.
I also disagree with the love the team good or bad point. I go to a Pirates game and there is no one there. Same with the Pens when they sucked.

There is no way you could not notice the overall arrogance of the average Pittsburgh fan. They are impossible to deal with. I am not jealous of Pittsburgh in any way. I like the City as I have said, I DESPISE THE PITTSBURGH FAN however.

I'm guessing we live an equal distance from Pittsburgh, if I'm not closer.

I think I know 10 Pens fans that actually follow the team while the other 90% turn on the playoffs and talk **** about how Ovechkin sucks and blah blah blah.

There is no jealously. Pittsburgh fans are ignorant. Even the ones who follow the Steelers are hard to have a conversation with because they just yell in your face the entire time.

Whether they are good or bad? False. If they did, I wouldn't be able to buy Pirates tickets for $5 this summer.

The Pirates should not be in the argument....17 or 18 straight losing seasons....failure to put a major league product on the field....everyone has their breaking point

Exactly!!!
The main problem is you can't even argue with them. They are so loud about it and just yell in your face with their dumb as titletown crap with the most annoying accent of all time.

and you are going to try to tell me that BUFFALO fans would be classified as CLASSY fans? COME ON MAN!!! You and the rest of us know that isn't true!! I've been to 1000000 games...I know exactly how Bills fans are, cuz I am one of em'!!!

Where did I say that? We were talking about Pittsburgh fans. They have the rep of being these great fans which is a joke. Most of them I've dealt with were *******s.
