Weird, he has no business playing in the 3-4

He is a decent player who will generate some interest. I suppose we are hoping to get something in return for him.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

        I really don't get that.

A 6' 0 229 pound LB in a 3-4 scheme... makes no sense. He has no pass rush ability and no run stuff ability.

Special teams and a backup spot. What was his tender level?

We'll be lucky to get a 6th. or 7th. rounder for him.

If we tender him and nobody offers, does that mean we have to sign him?

We cannot replace every position in one off-season. Chan and clan must feel they can make use of him somewhere, or get some basic compensation for losing him.
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.

Wilson is most definitely getting tendered.

We already have a lot of "Linebackers" is nix is serious about moving our former DE's there.

Poz, Mitchell, Harris, Ellison, Kelsay, Schobel, Ellis, Maybin, Harris

Bet its an original round tender and that we are trying to sucker Fewell into convincing the Giants that he's worth the 6th rounder

Ellison is hardly the issue with this team. You can't gut the roster, and fill it with over-priced, aging, FA's.

The FA class will be older than normal this year because of the lack of the CBA. The sparsity of big names will drive prices up on 6 year, mid level players. It is not a good year to have to do too much shopping.

Also, just because we tendered him, doesn't mean you can't cut him if he just doesn't fit. Not to mention the chance of getting a pick if he is scooped.
