I dont have any on the record source to verify or confirm anything, but I'm going to say it anyway. I will be shocked if Donte Whitner is not traded-- and soon.

What makes you think this? I haven't heard about the new staff saying anything bad about him, not that you would I guess. I wouldn't mind seeing him gone and Wilson take his place, IF we were to get a decent (at least a 3rd) pick for him.Infrequent poster, daily visitor.

If Whitner goes to Washington he will thrive in a big way. Orakpo, Peppers, Carter and Haynesworth wreaking havoc up front will allow Whitner to make plays on the back end and then we will be wondering why we got rid of him.

It can? I'm pretty sure those two would still make plays even if they were on the Bills. I didn't see Byrd making excuses last season. All he did was change games.
Whitner is nothing but an interchangeable passenger. I want him gone.

Re: I'll be shocked if Whitner sticks around here
Well if you actually paid attention to how Whitner has been used in his time in Buffalo you would understand why Byrd, Reed, Pola etc have made plays and he has not.
Whitner is not as good as those guys but he has been used as a utility guy since he was drafted.
He plays in a soft, conservative defense and is asked to cover deep zones, cover WRs and play as a box safety in run support.
The other guys roam around the field and track the football, it is a completely different role plus they have the advantage of aggressive front 7's in front of them to hurry throws and bad decisions.
