Every time someone talks about a guy with a southern accent, they act like they HAVE to be stupid. Jeez, just because a guy has a southern accent, it doesn't make them dumb. I've known plenty of idiot rednecks that live right around Buffalo.

1) yes, I feel like people with Southern accents sound less educated than those without
2) Southern accents on girls are hotter than any other accent except maybe Australia, but that might just be me.

When I was in seminary in Kentucky, I learned how to speak with a credible southern accent. I learned from my dormitory friends that accents vary from place to place in the south. Texas accents are different from South Carolina accents, rural accents are different from urban accents, etc. I knew some very smart southerners.

There is a difference. I usually can tell tennessee, from virginia, from georgia, mississippi and so on. So much country side out here. You yanks should learn to appreciate that. Besides if there was no south, who would defend this country?
