Whitehurst offers up an alternative to what we currently have. He also is "untapped" potential. In otherwords the grass is always greener on the otherside until proven otherwise.

Once upon a time Brian Brohm, Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf, Andre Ware all had great reads before they were drafted. What is said before being drafted means squat.

I don't think it would be worth it for the Bills to offer him a contract San Diego would not match and surrender a 3rd round pick.
