    Nightmare Draft Scenario

The 8 people drafted ahead of us are (in no order):

    Bradford
    Clausen
    Suh
    McCoy
    Okung
    Bulaga
    Davis
    Trent Williams

We would be stuck with taking a flyer on the 5th OT (Campbell), Berry, (who we don't need), McClain, Dez Bryant (a punk) or Dan Williams (who I'm starting to think will be the pick)

IF we think Bradford, or Clausen for that matter, is a franchise QB, I could see us trying to get into that Detroit slot at #2. I could see Detroit trying to get out of that slot because of the money they just spent. Plus the FO would have to see that the players left at 9 don't line up with our worse needs.

Trading down would be ok too

That's far from a nightmare scenario for me.

If that's the worse it can get, I'm OK with that. Not thrilled with 4 OT's off of the board, but if that's the case it leaves plenty of talent in other spots available and possibly opens up an opportunity to trade down and get an extra pick or two.

If it happens like that (assuming we probably can't trade down), I'd take McClain

            McClain or Bryant.

I would also look at trade down possibilities.

                Easier said than done.

And that is not a nightmare.

                Bryant or McClain please.

Eric Berry's hard to pass up there. He and Byrd would be just lethal. Bryant is a sick player but it's reported that can't even make it to the game on time.

Williams is probably the best option.

                    Re: Nightmare Draft Scenario

If the Bills draft McClain, Mitchell is going to have to man one of the two starting OLB spots, even though the Bills are projecting him inside. The Bills' woeful collective collection of talent is going to dictate that Mitchell, at least for a season or two, is going to have to find a starting spot somewhere. As imperfect of a fit as he is, I can't envision anyone superior than him existing on the roster (assuming Schobel's retirement; accounting for Chris Kelsay's lack of athleticism; asssuming that a 4th-round rookie won't immediately supplant Mitchell).

The Bills just aren't good enough, talented enough, nor deep enough, and it'll be quite awhile before they are, to do anything other than deal with the reality that undesirable starters will have to man probably more than a few spots. We're starting from scratch here. We may not have made the Playoffs since Bill Clinton was still the nation's president- but that doesn't mean that we're anywhere closer to getting there.

it should be easy for them to do that unless they're going to overvalue the #9 pick.(which they're going to do)

If you find a team that wants to move up.

Since this is likely the last draft w/o a rookie cap, teams might not move up.
