Okay, with Owens and Reed gone, wide receiver again becomes a position of need for Buffalo.

James Hardy was drafted to be the physical presence across from Evans, the big guy to catch ten touchdowns a year, out-jump/out-muscle/out-tall the better corners in the AFC East, and generally take some heat off of (semi)Sweet Lee.

While I expect for Buffalo to select a wideout in the draft regardless, this is a make-or-break year for Hardy. This will be his third year and we need contributions from him right off the starter's block.

If he blows/gets hurt again, what kind of options do we have left in FA and in the later rounds of the draft? Some size would be nice but I'm not married to it...Desean Jackson's tiny self seems to be doing just fine in Philly.

HArd to contribute when the no.1 and no.2 don't even get the ball because we didn't have anyone to throw any wr's the ball . Add to the fact that D's knew what was coming before the bills got out of the huddle.

Seriously, when Lee Evans gets the ball more than once or twice a game, then I'll start asking about Hardy and Johnson.

That's old ****. He was injured so 2009 gets a pass.

I'm talking about this year.

Still, I don't expect anything from Hardy till we have a QB who can actually throw the football.

That's because Lee isn't a number 1 WR.

That is yet to be determined... he has never had a starting QB.

The excuses have to stop somewhere.

I don't need 80/1200/10, but he's gotta show something.

Agreed. He should at least show some potential but until we get a decent QB I don't expect great numbers from any of our WRs.

The dudes officially a bust. If he hasnt shown anything by now, he's a lost cause.

That makes no sense.

Given the previous coaching staff's ability to recognize and develop talent, I think he definitely deserves this year to show what he has. How many opportunities has he really had, anyway?

You realize he hasn't played more than 16 games in 2 seasons here right?

In those 16 games he caught 10 passes for about 100 yards and 2 TDs.

So before you get your knickers in a twist, give him a full season and a reliable quarterback.

Hopefully, Hardy and Johnson step up this year.

NOT THE DUDE...

i think johnson can be a revelation in the slot and if hardy is 100% and motivated i can see him catching 60-900 and 8tds.... its up to him, he has the talent.

I would love to see hardy at 2 and johnson in the slot.

As things stand currently, you just may get your wish.

Let's also comment on Hardy bring voted the Ed Block Courage award by his team mates. There are those posting on an internet board that seem to know far more than those who went to work (so to speak) with Hardy........and have first hand knowledge the the rehab effort made.

Alas, the boards must be believed instead I guess.

Oh but it's his rock-solid opinion based logic.

1.) Eric Decker
2.) Shay Hodge
3.) Jordan Shipley

Why just Hardy ?

There are 30+ players on this roster I could say that about.

soooo many bills players in their 3rd year to make it or break it have stepped up and shown us what we all wanted. i'm sure hardy will follow that mold. :barf:

I would love Decker in the 4th or later if possible.
