Filed to ESPN: KC re-signed WR Chris Chambers to a three-year deal worth up to $15 million that includes $5.9 million in gtd money.

Im not even purposely crying wolf like Chan Gailey (poster) or HH.

I'm seriously starting to think Buffalo has replaced KC and Detroit and the rest as the single least desirable destination in the NFL.

Damn...I was hoping you meant Krik chambers

Maybe Chambers felt no one else would've wanted him, so he stayed where he'd have a job.

I wonder if this means they are willing to put Dwayne Bowe on the market. He clashed with Todd Haley.

Anyone else starting to wish we still had Terrell Owens with all these holes to fill?

I have to doubt that Chambers can replace Bowe's numbers. If they could trade Bowe for a pick, they could have the option of taking Dez Bryant at 5 (although they sure could use Okung).

If they did trade Bowe, who do you think they'd have starting?

Personally...no. 2010 is going to be a tough season no matter what. I'd rather see Hardy and Johnson get more opportunities to develop than keep Owens.

Good point.

Good point.

And don't get me wrong...I'm all for drafting a WR either this year or next. I don't want to count on Johnson or Hardy to become legitimate #2's, but we might as well see what they have, right?

My target in the draft is Eric Decker in the 4th. Granted, he's coming off of injury, so it's a bit of a risky move. But the guy, imo, is the quintessential possession receiver. He was practically Minnesota's entire passing offense the last two years and still dominated.

Hardy will get a chance this year for sure it looks like.

I would like to see both Hardy and Johnson get a shot. Hardy @ #2 and Johnson in the slot.

Are we suppose to be upset the Bills didn't sign him?

I think there's too much overreaction to players who are re-signing with teams they were with last year. I doubt that there's much that other teams can do about that, apart from pay wildly over the odds.
There also seems to be a lot of it happening (players re-signing).
I wonder if the uncertainty that surrounds what will/won't/might happen next year, is causing many to be more prepared to stay put, than move, with the additional difficulties that can bring in respect of re-settlement.

Chambers blows. I'm glad he's not a Bill. And yes, I'd much rather get TO back.

Here's the guy I'd target as the Bills. As he's got some size to compliment Lee. He also far more proven and cost less then Bryant/Coles and more proven then Furey/Washington/Randle El and more likely a one year fill in that give us someone that could start for a year and allow Hardy and/or Steve Johnson continue to develop. However if they don't step up then allow us to draft their replacement in 2010.
