This will hurt his draft stock a bit. He's had the disease since high school.

Re: Rolando McClain has Crohn's Disease
isnt thAT when you poop too much?I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Re: Rolando McClain has Crohn's Disease
Crohn's disease is a chronic inflamation of the intestines. I think it might be classified as an autoimmune disease. It is incurable. It can range in severity from a mild nuisance to completely debilitating, requiring surgery to remove sections of intestine that deteriorate to the point of posing a risk for bleeding and perforation. Whether or not it is an issue for the draft depends on severity.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Re: Rolando McClain has Crohn's Disease
After reading Slim's post, I went and checked. Crohn's can affect any part of the digestive tract from the mouth to the anus, though the intestines are the more usual site of inflamation. The esophagus can certainly be affected.Last edited by TigerJ; 03-10-2010, 05:25 PM.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

Re: Rolando McClain has Crohn's Disease
My nephew has this, but he is doing a lot better with proper diet and nutrition, he is only 8 years old, but he has been playing baseball and other sports. It can be rough, we found out about it when he was dripping blood all over the bathroom floor, he is a tough little guy.
