All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The Bills addressed their thin numbers at the tight end position Thursday re-signing Joe Klopfenstein.
Klopfenstein (6'5" 262) was originally signed by the Bills last season on two separate occasions (Nov. 18, Nov. 28). He appeared in just the season finale for Buffalo making one reception for 11 yards in the 30-7 victory over the Colts.
A former second-round pick, Klopfenstein is known as a good blocking tight end. The 26-year old has 38 career starts with 34 receptions for 397 yards and two touchdowns.
Buffalo has only one other tight end under contract in 2009 fourth-round pick Shawn Nelson. Derek Schouman, a restricted free agent, was tendered a qualifying offer last week. Jonathan Stupar is an exclusive rights free agent.
