I wouldn't mind seeing us take a crack at him - people seem to do alright as long as they're not in a raiders uni - see Randy Moss, Deangelo Hall, Langston Walker.

plus he's had a down year (who hasn't in the east bay), and could come fairly cheap.

so what, who doesn't produce in Oakland?

Maybe a change of scenery will do the guy some good - couldn't hurt to pursue the guy for a low tier starters salary.

maybe 3.5 mill a year?

I have a feeling he's gonna end up somewhere, and we're gonna be kicking ourselves for not listening to Ublink.

He hasn't been significant since he played with Favre in Green Bay.

Why not bring him in? If his knee doesn't hold up or he is done, then we cut him in training camp and lose nothing

Dude was a solid NFL wideout until the Darrent Williams thing happened. I think that F-d his life up bad, and going to Oakland after it all was def. a bad move! If our coaches can stabilize him emotionally I would say why not take a shot with him? Give him training camp and preseason to prove he's worth keeping around.

1 or 2 year deal laden with incentives...yes.

Injury history and lack of production doesn't make him worth much of anything...

But if he can come back and produce, he'd be worth it.

if last year didnt prove anything, it doesnt matter how productive WR's have been in the past, they still need someone capable to get the ball to them, something this team doesnt yet have

He has a lot to prove. He's been through a lot of hard things. Knee injuries, ankle injuries, got beat up til comatose and robbed in Vegas. That's a lot of stuff to come back from. I'm rooting for the guy, but it seems highly unlikely that he can return to his old Packer form.

well, he certainly isn't gonna do it outside of an NFL OTA or training camp, get him in here, and get him working NOW!!!
