    Perfect Trade situation

Something that was thrown around yesterday in Tampa.

Everyone knows the the Tampa Bay Bucs are having some $$ problems they just tendered Donald Penn there LT and he is not happy at all....

They need serious help in the secondary and Donte Whitner would be a great fit for them and Donald Penn would be a great fit for us.

So the Bills give up a 5th rounder and Donte Whitner for Donald Penn.......

I think Penn is one of the most underrated LT's in the NFL....

Its obvious that he will not be back after this season unless the Bucs pay him Left tackle $$$$.....I know that they are trying to get out of that #3 spot but I just don't see it happeneing.....

    Something to throw around....
    GO Gators!!!!!!

I don't expect Whitner to be dealt until draft day...and even then, I don't expect him to be traded.

You are probably 95% correct it was thrown around on the radio yesterday in Tampa. A Tampa fan wanted Whitner.

Smart teams dodn't trade above average left tackles for overrated safties.
But if the Bucs are dumb enough to want a trade like that I'm all for it.

The Bucs won't trade Penn. He will be cheap for the next year, then if there is football in 2011 they will give him a new contract or trade him at that time.

I'd take that trade in a heartbeat. That trade would switch up the entire outcome of our drafting.

He's an average starter according to his ESPN grade. Still, he could fight it out with Bell for the starting LT spot... hopefully when would emerge as being ready. If we are that confident in Scott, Byrd and Wilson then go for it.

Grumblings are that he is so unhappy he's considered/ing sitting out.

I'm wondering if Bradford isn't picked by St. Louis, if we could trade Whitner, our first, third and a fifth to swap firsts and get Penn. It would take care of our two biggest needs in a left tackle/ quarterback, Tampa gets out of that third pick and gets two extra picks, plus Whitner.

You tell me ONE restricted free agent that is happy. I am telling you all, this is pointless the Bucs won't trade Penn.
