Davis speaks.. Will "take his time"

Linebacker Andra Davis met with the Buffalo Bills today and during his media presser he told reporters that he would “take his time” and make it a “family decision” when it comes to deciding if he wants to play for the Bills in 2010.

Davis added he was told he’d be able to compete for a starting inside linebacker job should he sign and also said that he did research on Buffalo before his meeting, including speaking to former Broncos teammate Mario Haggan, who Davis claimed had nothing but good things to say about the Bills.

Translation; if Davis can’t find interest anywhere else then he may be in Buffalo for 2010. If you don’t believe that’s the case, I’d love to be your salesperson the next time you buy a car.

He's probably trying to decide if he should retire or play for the Bills.

The fact Cornell Green signed so fast should tell you all you need to know about him and what the market was for him.

Something that could work for or against the Bills is that George Edwards was the LB coach when Andra Davis was their in 2004.

We need him. It's not a glamorous signing, but he was a big part of Denver's successful transition last season, helping them to 7th in total defense. He was only a 2 down player there, but having him next to Poz on 1st and second and then subbing Bryan Scott for Davis in on 3rd would be absolutely ideal. He brings a lot of experience, and would likely beat out Mitchell for the LILB spot.

Not necessarily, Andra Davis likely asked for more than what he is worth, it's just human nature. So long as each side was respectful in their over/under bids, then neither should feel insulted and a deal should be worked out.
