How hard can it be? Well, in America she might have a lot of competition. But still, it costs a lot of money to consume 12,000 calories a day, her target consumption to reach 1,000 pounds before expiring of fatness. Not sure what is the saddest part of this story -- probably the fact that she has two young kids.



Donna Simpson currently weighs 600 pounds, so she's going on a diet in hopes of reaching what she considers her ideal weight: 1,000 pounds. The 42-year-old mother, a resident of Old Bridge, NJ, consumes a whopping 12,000 calories a day in an effort to reach her goal.

Simpson already holds the Guinness World Record for world's fattest mother. She insists she's healthy despite the fact that she cannot walk more than 20 feet independently.

Disgusting! I feel so sorry for her kids. She sounds like an unfit parent and if her husband is supporting her in this venture, he sounds just as unfit and unstable. If she wants to die that badly, she should just shoot herself and save everyone time and money.

I saw her TV interview on one of the news channels, she said people like to watch her jiggle her fat, I guess she really makes it interesting for them. Also she does this in skimpy outfits, which means you have access to that much more cellulite viewing pleasure, I guess.

Aside from the obvious "this isn't good for you" argument (since maybe she feels at 600 lbs she's already jumped the shark so why not go for a record)...I think she needs to focus less on herself and more on her family.

It costs money to consume all those calories (not sure if her internet take covers the cost of the extra food), but even if it did, and turned out to be a source of income besides, she is the mother of two kids. I think she has an obligation to not do something that is so clearly life-threatening, not to mention reducing her ability to care for her kids. (if she can't walk 20 feet I doubt they are going to the park)

And setting a bad example on top of it all.

I guess that sounds judgementally judgemental with the judging. So never mind, she can do what she wants, but I feel sorry for the kids.

What is sickening, or at least concerning, is that this woman is trying to acheive something that will make he less healthy and she is proud of it. And she is the mother of two kids and apparently is more concerned with putting on pounds than she is taking care of her kids going forward.

I guess this media whore is making the rounds. They had her on Entertainment Tonight last night and she'll be on it again on Monday. Just reading her story was disturbing enough, but to actually see her and see how proud she was for already reaching 600 pounds made me ill. What broke my heart was seeing her daughter. Her mother can't even walk in the grocery store. She drives in one of those carts. And she was explaining that her daughter would adapt. Her situation isn't any different than a handicapped person. BULL****! A handicapped person doesn't have a choice to be in a wheelchair, she does! She is a disgusting human being. And her ******* boyfriend is no better than she is. She was explaining how he loves her cellulite and loves her rolls so she wants to keep getting bigger for him too. Both of them are completely unfit to be parents and this poor child needs to be placed in a suitable home ASAP!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Not only is she watching her mother kill herself and make sure she can’t do things with her, the mother is spending over $750 a week on food! She doesn't even work and she's spending $3,000 on food?!?!?!? That's more than our mortgage and our utility bills combined! This whole situation is tragic and horrible. If she didn't have kids and wanted to do this to herself, I'd say have at it. Except of course for the unnecessary burden she's going to put on the healthcare system. But, as a parent she has a responsibility to be there for her child and to care for her child. What she's doing is irresponsible. She literally made me sick to my stomach watching her last night.

She was interviewed again last night on Entertainment Tonight and according to her, she's getting fat the "healthy" way. She's eating lots of chicken, vegetables and potatoes. She said that she is gaining weight but being healthy about it. She eats as much as she wants and doesn't deny herself anything. She's also a diabetic and on medication. She is a very sick person, mentally. I feel so sorry for her daughter.

WARNING FOR PEOPLE IN NEW JERSEY: This woman LOVES her body and can't wait to put on a bikini and go to the beach! But, don't feel badly about starring at her, she welcomes the looks.
