Normally signing a 29 year old defensive end who is a high effort player and does the dirty work against the run would be a no brainer as our best FA signing. However, there is some risk with the neck injury. With that being said though, I think Dwan Edwards is still the best of our pickups so far.

Edwards is a great signing, Davis is a quality signing, Green is a terrible signing.

Edwards, as his experience and ability is needed more for the switch to the 3-4 than that of Davis, although that was a solid signing also.
Green is a 'wait and see' type of signing, but if he is a good run-blocker (as has been suggested), then he could pan out well enough. You would expect him to be an upgrade regardless, and does cover a hole.

His neck checked out fine with medical, he played all last year with no problem. he will be really good against the run!

Davis is overrated but palatable and serviceable... Edwards is a solid pick up. I sadly have to say that Green is the best pickup so far. On an injury depleted, young line, even if he isn't the best, he's still experienced enough to mentor and/or teach the young guys.

I know I'm some kind of freak for this, but I kinda think evaluations should be made based on how they actually do for the Bills.

The biggest problem this defense had last year was the linebackers not being able to stop the run at the point of first contact. Davis brings technique, confidence, and success as a run stopper. Couple that with Poz's pass defense ability and tackling ability, the inside of this defense got a lot better.

Davis allows George Edwards to play Kawika Mitchell outside with Maybin.

The Bills can now focus on depth for LB in the draft instead of needing a day starter. Great move that free's up the draft for the offense.

Agreed. It means nothing until the games start in Sept.
