I thought this was a good article from Buffalorumblings. Figured i'd share for those that don't visit the site.

When the Buffalo Bills (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/BUF) hired George Edwards as the team's new defensive coordinator on February 4, it was announced that the team would be transitioning from the 4-3 zone-style defense implemented by previous head coach Dick Jauron to the 3-4 defense Edwards worked in with Cleveland and Miami. Switching from a defensive system that calls for light, quick personnel to a system that requires big, physical personnel is one of the more challenging transitions an NFL team can make.
After the Bills' free agent signings of former Ravens (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/BAL) DE Dwan Edwards (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/1392/Dwan_Edwards) and former Broncos (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/DEN) ILB Andra Davis (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/2639/Andra_Davis) on Tuesday, the team's 3-4 personnel is starting to take shape nicely.
With those two signings and a few tweaks to the depth chart, the Bills dramatically improved not only their starting lineup - where both Edwards and Davis will likely reside in Week 1 of the 2010 season - but their overall depth as well. While the Bills look much better equipped to move to the 3-4 today than they did yesterday, the team is still lacking personnel in the two most critical positional areas to this defensive system.

Brian is solid, and very unobjective and emotionally detached from his writing (which is good)

It is nice to only have three major holes on D now (NT and OLB) as opposed to 4 or 5. Basically like trading Kelsay and Ellison for Edwards and Ellison.

I do not think the Bills consider OLB a hole on the team.

We may.. but they dont

They should (and if they don't they are probably dumber than I give them credit for) as they have no one on the roster with any experience and/or production at the position. Shobel and Maybin are probably the best bets but there are huge question marks surrounding both (position switch and retirement for Aaron and everything for Maybin).

Ellis and Maybin could fill that OLB hole. We still have the draft! why don't we sign a STOP GAP NT? Anthony Montgomery???

Plus, if Schobel does end up returning for another season then I think we have a lot to work with at OLB. Even if he doesn't, Maybin may not have experience at OLB, which makes it a question mark, but I wouldn't consider it a hole. He should be suited very well for the position. We just need to give him a chance.
