He had me until he talked about how Whitner is solid and a sure tackler.

        TE's are a strength

We need BIGGER and more PHYSICAL cover CB's.....I'll take one. McGee is one of the most overrated CB's in the NFL

Certainly not a 'strength', but he does recognise the potential of Nelson, who I believe will become the best pass catching TE the Bills have had. Schouman might be a decent player, but he's got to stay healthy to show that. I'm not certain he's finished a season for the Bills yet in 3 years, and you can't put all of that on the trainers.

As to what you are saying about our Corners, I think you have a very valid point, although I personally believe McGee is a good player. Bearing what you are saying in mind, it wouldn't altogether surprise me to see McKelvin and Florence start ahead of McGee. Youboty is also a more physical presence, and again, if he stays fit, could still surprise. He has shown enough to say he can play in this league, if he's healthy, and I was pleased they tendered him.

Not bad for an outsider looking in. A fresh perspective from someone without preconceived ideas about certain players.

That is a good read, but I think he got his priority at OT mixed up, and I don't agree with some of his assessments of current players on the roster.

he overhyped the Secondary and TE position.

Do our coachs really believe Bell can be as good or better than Peters? We're screwed if that's true.

Bell wasn't as bad last year as a lot of people think he was. He wasn't overmatched physically. He made a lot of mental errors. Some of that can be attributed to him being new to the game. He didn't play high school football and only played two years in college. It's certainly not unreasonable to feel he has some upside. I don't know if he can be an all-pro level tackle, but he could be well above average.

Our secondary is one of the best in the league, how did he over-hype it?

We have 4 CBs and 4 safeties that can start on most teams in the league.

Just because he struggled as a first time starter it doesn't mean he isn't good. Bell was impressive in the season opener.

Struggle is being very kind. There were games when he was a effing turnstile out there.

He was, as pointed out before a rookie with little experience. I think he will show much improvement this year.

My problem with Bell was the stupid penalties, and it was really a problem with the coaching staff and Edwards. If I am coaching, and you are jumping the gun as much as him, I would have made Edwards take him to his sister's basement they would have practices the calls around the clock. The fact that they coaching staff was a bunch of pussies, and that Edwards wasn't a fan, it didn't seem like his timing issues were being addressed.
