Netminders have obviously allowed goals from center ice or beyond before, as Vokoun did on Radim Vrbata's meek shot; but rarely are those goals allowed with 59.7 seconds left in the game and with that goalie's team clinging to a one-goal lead. Ouch:

In the distance, you hear the sobbing of Vesa Toskala.

People Forget, those pucks are slippery,... WHY?, they are dipped in Water, and FROZEN, the game pucks are kept in a freezer behind the boards.

So Occasionally a goalie is gonna play hot potato with one.

I figured I would post it here since if you'll recall a month or two ago Lalime let in a puck that bounced off the boards funny and bounced towards the opening and everyone blamed him.

It's a similar situation to when people complain about them falling all over the place to which I usually respond with "Yeah, it's like they're playing on ice or something"

whatever the case is....it's still funny to see when its not your team.

bouncing off the glass and boards in front of an open net vs, a goalie watching and following a shot from 105 feet away, while standing in front of the net is 2 different things.
