    Brady Signs $30 million deal

Man, if this guy is a one year wonder....they are really screwed

The contract extension signed by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady last week is worth more than $30 million in so-called 'new money' and keeps his salary cap number more than palatable for this season before escalating dramatically in cap value in its later years.

Actually, it's not as bad as I thought. They can cut their loses after this season without a really big hit.

Look on the bright side, next year both RJ and Dougie may be on the market.

He won't flop though. He has great arm strength and a good head. He'll be among the leagues elite QB's for years to come.

Wasn't one of the reported Patriots benefits of the Bledsoe deal the freeing up of cap space in the future? Brady's cap #'s for 2003-2006 seem to have used up all of that space.

I think Brady is a one year wonder personally, the guy doesnt have the ability or persona of that of your traditional drop back passer. He is erratic when under pressure and does not have a pocket savy. I think he is the next coming of RJ, but Ive been wrong before

I believe that Brady is in the same league as Fiedler. Both are fair qb's, and this year they are both going to flop. Brady=Rypien? MVP to crap in a couple of seasons?

He only got like a 3.5 million dollar bonus, so the contract wasnt' that bad. I was hoping they'd throw more bonus money his way. The salaries can easily be worked around, and if he's cut the hit wouldn't be that bad.

Hey, the guy one the SB last year. Give him some credit. I think he will be a solid QB in this league; just not a star.

I think he's the second coming of Shaun King. Only difference between the two is that Shaun King didn't have Bledsoe to win him the conference final. Doesn't everyone remember a few years ago when TBay was saying that Shaun King was going to be the winning QB they never could produce? Well, they still can't produce one and Brady is going to be in exactly the same spot in a few years.

I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!

no that it matters, but he lead the NFL in passing yards this preseason.
