Meanwhile, in Buffalo, safety Donte Whitner has tweeted his enthusiasm for McNabb.

"I hope D+nvan McNabb comes to us. He's great."

Whitner also asked his nearly 10,000 followers whether they thought McNabb would be a good fit for the Bills. We are guessing this was not a public opinion poll authorized by the team. The early returns among Bills fans was positive.

Whitner went on to say this his mother and Donovan's mother work together in the NFL mothers committee.

so when donte says he wants donovan to come to us, does he mean there is a 3way deal with the bills, browns and philly? Donte and mcnabb to the browns, the browns give up their 3rd to the eagles as per the latest "news/PR leak" and the bills get a 7th round conditional pick

seriously if mcnabb is a 3rd round pick, whitner's value is being gauged on the number of Kballs a team is willing to part with.

I'd be happy with McNabb.

Donte and a 3rd for McNabb.

If he winds up in Buffalo, that's great.

The Pats have Oaklands 1st next year, so if McNabb goes to the Raider's and gives the Pats a lower draft pick that works too.

NFL mothers committee? What?

it's a chunky soup committee to promote the soup within the league.

Why do we need an aging QB? We need a young QB to build around

McNabb provides a good veteran teacher for a young QB. Whether that is Brohm, Edwards ( I know, I know. I felt dirty typing that), a pick this year or a pick next year.

I'd get it done for our third and a player in a heartbeat. I'd consider sending them our 2nd pick.

Did anyone else imagine Donte saying this with a limp wrist and a lisp?

Can we all please get over this. As much as I would like them to trade for McNabb...it's not going to happen.

You mean like Losman? or like Trent? Maybe closer to Todd Collins?

here is what will happen....the eagles will trade us mcnabb for our 1st as long as we take back jauron and given them anyone else

or, i could see Jauron's obsession with youboty be the deal sealer if reid really trusts jauron as much as he says he does. Mcnabb for youboty, straight up.

I would be willing to throw in Whitner along with Youboty.

What price are you willing to pay for a teacher. He has not been a teacher in Philly. He does not get along with kolb.

Where have you heard this? Not calling you out or anything, but I'd like to read that myself if its out there.

Whitner / McCargo for __________________.

I'll start... a conditional 7th which could be upgraded to a box of donuts if both players meet certain suckability.

This information has been stated around here ( philly/SNJ) since last year. He wants to keep his job - not teach someone to take it away.

Those guys point to bad scouting/drafting.
