JaMarcus Russell reportedly weighed in at 290 pounds when he reported for the Raiders' offseason program.
So Oakland can scratch left tackle off its list of needs. Russell was initially reported to weigh 271, but many close to the situation immediately doubted that report. I can't believe that Russell was the Number 1 overall pick. I almost started a thread about this yesterday but feared I'd get chewed out for putting it in the wrong forum.

I'd give Heyward Bey some time and I've heard that Huff has been coming around. Funny thing is, we ALL wanted Huff that year, and we got stuck with Whitner. Which one is worse?

But seriously, how was Jamarcus ever viewed as a Number 1 overall pick? It's not like every mock was saying different things, everybody said he was going there.

Just goes to show how heavily weighted the draft is to QB's. Everyone wants their Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. So when QB's come out and are graded as top prospects, They are almost always drafted way to high.
