Two of Buffalo’s restricted free agents are under contract for the 2010 season. Linebacker Keith Ellison and safety George Wilson both signed their qualifying tender offers upon reporting to One Bills Drive for the start of the team’s voluntary offseason conditioning program Monday.
Wilson is coming off a breakout season in which he started 12 games, finished second on the team in tackles, second in interceptions, third in special teams tackles, fourth in pass breakups and fourth in sacks.
Ellison, meanwhile was the team’s leading tackler for better than half the season until a quad injury suffered in Week 10 cost him the rest of his 2009 season. He was placed on injured reserve prior to the Week 12 game against Miami.
Both players will be making the adjustment to the 3-4 defensive system being installed for Buffalo’s defense this season.
