    Browns' Progress Pleases Davis

The Browns wrapped up Quarterback School practice sessions this week and close their offseason program with next week’s three-day, full-squad minicamp.

Here are a few players Head Coach Butch Davis highlighted as the standouts of Quarterback School and ones to watch as the 2003 season draws nearer.

**TE Steve Heiden, who played well last season despite being acquired via trade from San Diego just seven days prior to the season opener. Davis said Heiden has had “a phenomenal offseason” and has a made a “dramatic move” towards becoming a top-level player.

**OT’s Ross Verba and Ryan Tucker. Davis said Verba is “faster and quicker than I’ve ever seen him” and said that Tucker “has worked extraordinarily hard. He’s one of the strongest guys on the team.
