He didn't even play defense in high school, he was a RB. He's been playing football for a long time, so it's not a question of whether he has that football toughness in him. He's basically still tuning his understanding of that side of the ball, but is obviously athletic enough to channel what he does know into productivity, and athletic enough to adapt. He has experience standing up and dropping into coverage, it would be interesting to see how Bob Sanders could coach him into form. There are times in games where his diagnostic skills look top notch, so it was interesting to find out he's still learning the nuances of the position. They put a lot of pressure on him to perform lining him up on the strong side in a 4-2-5, and I'd say he delivered. I think he'll have no problem learning how to play 3-4 OLB in the NFL.
