Where's he going to go ? There is zero market for him in the NFL.

CFL picks are worthless.

If he does go to another team watch him rip it up and go to multi probowls

What could the Bills fetch for Lynch? Not a great return considering he was the 12th overall pick in the draft in 2007. It would depend on whether there were more than one team interested. Willis McGahee, who had a tad more production than Lynch through three seasons and no baggage, fetched a third-rounder. McGahee was coming off a 990-yard rushing season when he was dealt. Lynch had 450 last season. So a fourth-rounder might be the best the Bills could get, if there were an eager suitor.
Lynch still has three years left on his contract, so that's no hindrance to making a deal. But it also doesn't put any pressure on the Bills to move Lynch.
The contract, combined with Jackson's 1,000-yard rushing season last year, gives Lynch no leverage. Zero.

It's unbelievable how poor this team has drafted the last decade. :shakeno:

Again, if Spiller available to Bills at 9, I don't think they can say no.

At the time, we needed a RB, and Lynch was quite promising. Then he had an excellent rookie year. So while we have not done the best job drafting, Lynch is not an example of that.

1 good year out of the #12 pick! Quite promising? Big effing deal. Potential does not mean squat. We need more than potential from our #1 picks. That's not acceptable. Players with "promise" make the Bills what they are...........perennial losers. You are wrong. He is an example of poor drafting.

Maybe..but the possibility would be stronger if they pulled a pre-draft trade for a LT like Gaither of the Ravens.

The Bills can't just keep trotting out fodder at key positions and don't tell me some LT of quality will still be there at #41. It's pure fantasy.

The Bills suck at team building - plain and simple. At the same time, we don't need some hood-trash thug on our team.

But I don't think he's going anywhere this offseason. He's got at least this next season here. That's just my opinion.

There has been something a lot more important wrong with this team, for 51 years, than the drafting of Lynch.

Actually, McGahee was traded for a third and seventh, along with a third the following year.

But still, I do think the most we'd get for Lynch is a 4th.

Marshawn Lynch was never an upgrade to the guy he replaced.

He was a wasted pick since day 1.

Add his behavior issues on top of that and I don't think anyone should care to see him go at this point.

I could see a team like the Texans offering up their 3rd for Lynch, many of their fans would go along with this move as well. Personally, if we can't get anything for Lynch, I'd outright cut him, I don't want him here, I'm not a fan.

Ehh, I'd honestly say that I'd rather have Donte Whitner over Marshawn Lynch at this point and Whitner was obviously a mega reach and I wholeheartedly felt that we reached on Lynch to begin with to fill a major need.

Why do all of our promising guys (JP, Trent, Lynch, Whitner, Simpson, Peters, McGahee) all regress or simply never get better than their rookie seasons? Poz is so far the only recent early draft rookie off the top of my head who seems to be getting better.

I would opine that the Bills will not trade Lynch until draft day, only if Spiller is still available at #9. I f they could pick up a 3rd then they could get Spiller and then bolster the lines.

I think we should try a new strategy, drafting running backs in the 1st round hasn't worked well for us.

The horrendous drafting and the number of players who want no part of Buffalo never cease to amaze me. This FO has been incompetent for at least a decade and it's sickening.

04-04-2010, 07:38 PM
Ok, that's fine. Lynch's value is low now, but come late August when someone's back goes out for the season, a guy like Lynch becomes more valuable.
And maybe that means he's more valuable to us too.

Can some of you read the article? It states that someone believes that a few lockerroom players wouldn't be surprised if Lynch landed elsewhere. This guy can still be a force for us, the jury (literally) isn't out on him yet.

trapezeus
04-05-2010, 11:06 AM
the jury is out on him. he's an underacheiving back who has no desire to play 16 games with the tenaciousness that is required. He's all talk.

I hate to admit that as i had high hopes for him. I liked that he had swagger and fun attitude, but it didn't translate. Once he got knicked up and in trouble with the law, he runs very tentatively, looking to make something out of nothing. His beast mode term is a joke. he refuses to just slam into the line and take tackleres for a ride.

Yes, he had a crappy line, but jackson got small and got through. Lynch just pitterpattered. it was very upsetting to watch him decline so dramatically from a good first season.

If Lynch wants out, I will literally go to his "crib," help him pack, Drive him to wherever he wants to go and bid him adieu.

He is exactly what the Bills do NOT need right now.

Dexter McCluster or CJ Spiller i can defenitly see them as long time bills. Either one would be a great addition.
