Chris (Flemington,NJ): Do you think that the Buffalo Bills will make any additions to their defensive line before the start of the regular season? Thanks

Chris Mortensen: Actually, as the Bills have broke down film this summer, their D-line has played well. It's the linebacking corps - specifically the second-line guys - who struggled.

This flies in the face at the fact that the Bills are looking to acquire someone else. It's good to here that our D-line has played well on film. This sounds like the type of thing Mort would here directly from TD himself. This also gives reason as to why the Bills cut Kazadi, Jones, and the other LBs then signed Denman and Tuilile (sp?). Mort seems to be very confident about the Bills I hope he is right. I consider myself an optimist but I'm not as optimistic as he is.

Mort inhaled too much hair spray. Either that or Parcells was glaring at him and he choked.

He had to say something to get Theisman to shut up.

BTW: The DL is one decent DT away

Question Mort: If the Bills DL has played so well then why have they all been replaced with the exception of Pat Williams?

They brought in Ahanatou but other than that all the other guys have been here since the mini-camps. Who has been replaced?

If Robertson, Bannan or Edwards can fill the #2 spot, I think we'll be ok

The thing is, who are we gonna get who will be a real improvement over who we have on the D line?

The back up linebackers can be improved upon.

Sounds like Mort, as good as he usually is, was eating the same mushrooms he was when he said Kelly would go to Pittsburgh in 1997.

I can't see it being our 2nd string linebackers fault in preseason that opposing QB's had time to hike the ball, chow down a dozen wings enjoy a cold 6 pack and then release the ball before he received any pressure.

He's just brown nosing his friend TD. They were buds at ESPN.

I second don's thoughts. I just didn't see the line get consistent pressure on the QB. How is that the fault of second string linebackers, even when the first unit was on the field?

BTW, it did get a little better in the last half of preseason.
