My god, this guy is useless. the one time we can have him play, blow and lose the games without issue, he's ***** sick. unbelievable.

And what is connolly's deal. i fear that this is like 2006 all over again and we'll just never see him play again. damnit.

Oh my.

You've realized that athletes are human and fall victim to illness and injury.

well, if Connolly didn't miss 40+ games a season, we'd be more forgiving about an injury.

And if Lalime didn't fall victim to bad rebounds, questionable goals and general inconsistency, then we'd be more forgiving about him falling victim to the flu.

Seriously what is Lalime's problem? What kind of a complete ******* gets the flu? This loser doesn't care about his team at all. What a scumbag.

the one time that lalime can play and play as bad as he wants, he isn't available. great.

let's just remember this in the conference finals when miller has a couple long overtime games under his belt and someone says, "he looks tired. i wish he wasn't worked so ridiculously hard this year." look at these 3 games and wonder no more. You'll have your answer.

Connolly was suppose to at least be practicing. it sounds like they are just essentially giving us the run around and that he won't be ready for the playoffs.

Wow.

What an overreaction.

If Lalime is too sick to dress, the Sabres are forced to call up Enroth, who could probably play in a game or two.

Settle down.

If we find Miller breaking down late in the playoffs (as i knock on wood that we get that far), then you can look back and say, yea, maybe he played a bit much. But there's no reason to say that now. If he starts all of the last three games and you add in the olympic games, thats mid-seventies amount of games for the year. True it's a lot, but Marty Broduer has been doing it for 15 years and he has won some cups.

Looks like Enroth has a sprained ankle so he won't be getting called up. I'm sure Lalime will be good for the weekend.

Yes, I bet 3 games will be the downfall of Miller and the Sabres.
Can't Lalime see how selfish he is being? It must be a plot to sabotage :lmao:

enroth is injured.

i think it's foolish to be playing miller when he has even said that he wouldn't mind a little rest for a game or two.

At the morning skate this morning, Lalime was the only goalie on the ice.

that's welcome news.

it also sounds like lindy wants the 2 spot. so lalime may not be an issue afterall.

it'll be nice if they can get vanek in against the bruins and have an offensive power showcase and give miller a 15-18 shot night.

I heard this morning that the plan was to play Lalime tonight and Sunday, which I'm all for, even if it means dropping to the 3 seed. I could really care less between 2 and 3.

And I would think unless his flu is really bad, Lalime will tough it out. He doesn't get much game action so he might want to take advantage of the situation.

The guy is a huge pile of s**t and sucks badly, but people need to relax...it isn't his fault he caught the flu. Geesh....

it's not his fault he got the flu, but it just shows how useless he is and how little insurance we have in the event miller goes down or just needs a break.

i'm in agreement with you rockstar. There is no difference btween 2 and 3, but apparently ruff wants 2nd place.

RockStar36

I don't think it shows how little insurance we have. People get sick, I don't think anybody can plan that out. It's more of a coincidence than anything.

Man, I pray that Miller does not get hurt because this guy is terrible.

What another ****ty effort by this team? It won't matter that Vanek and Connolly might be back for the playoffs, this team is going to get rolled in the playoffs.

it's clear that there are issues from them being a legit #3 seed. they need to find consistency in a hurry.

Consistency? Four of the top forwards were out. An ill backup goalie was in net.
Hell, I'm happy they got a goal.

Last night was essentially a pre-season game.

When was the last time this team beat a playoff team?

When was the last time this team beat a playoff team?

COuld be the Rangers depending on their last 2 games.

They beat Boston a little over a week ago. They beat Montreal the prior week.

Also in the Western Conference, they beat Chicago (with Lalime in net), split with San Jose, and swept Phoenix.
