The BZ's favorite game is back!!! Our annual pick a day game, because last years didnt get completed (my fault) and we have lots of new members, Ill go over the rules quickly.

I post the team who is picking, and each poster who wants to posts who they think the team SHOULD pick. Each morning (I know Im late), Ill tally the votes and whoever has the majority is the pick. We go through the entire first round and our first round mock is made out of it.

Everybody ready?

Here we go....

And with the fourteenth pick in the 2010 NFL Draft Seattle Seahawks select....

1. St. Louis-QB Sam Bradford-Oklahoma
2. Detroit-DT Ndamukong Suh-Nebraska
3. Tampa Bay-DT Gerald McCoy-Oklahoma

normally, i'll say OL until i turn blue in the face. however, this draft had them taking CJ Spiller earlier and i'm going to go against everything i believe in and take Draftboy's approach with BPA.

Dez Bryant- WR

Bryant shouldn't be on the board anymore.

The Hawks jump all over him if he is.

If Seattle leaves the first round with no OT, Pete Carroll should be fired instantly.

Yea but i can still see it happening. No OT is worth that pick in that slot IMO.

Its a toss up, I could argue either one (Davis or Campbell) is potentially given the fall off to the next guy.

How come no one else thinks he reaches for Brown. Seeing he's perfect for that Gibbs blocking scheme

Because Bruce Campbell is the best fit given he played in a ZBS at Maryland.

Had I recalled this that would of been the easy choice.

And because Davis and Campbell are both better.

i think if the Seahawks make it out of the 1st round with two playmakers like Spiller and Bryant, they did a great job going with going BPA approach rather than team need. isn't this something we went back and forth on not too long ago? it seems that we changed sides in this case. i think a T will be available for them in the 2nd round.

This is wrapped up, Bryant is obviously the voting pick. Move on to the next team, time is becoming a factor before the 22nd..

Its 9-5-1

Its not even close to wrapped up. If we get to 15-5 or something like that where its more than double any other choice I will make a new one.

A 4 vote disparity though is still very close.

No we didn't flip its BPA with need in mind. Does Seattle have a need a WR? Yes they could use a compliment to Houseyourmamma. However what kind of value could be had in Round 2 at pick 60? Maybe a guy like LaFell, Briscoe, Williams, McCluster, Gilyard are all still in play.

At 60 tackle wise you can basically be assured that Campbell, Davis, Ducasse, Saffold and possibly even Veldheer or Fox are off the board (if not both). So now you're down already to your third tear OT's with a huge need at LT who has to learn the ZBS.

To me that's why you reach a little and take the OT here, and skip Bryant. You can find good WR value later in this draft, where you may struggle to find starting OT talent later.

You think Adams is capabale and willing to make the switch to a ZBS at this point on his career on a basement team?

No they took Aaron Curry with their 1st Round pick.

They took Unger in Round 2 but he played and started as an interior lineman all year.

Thanks, I mixed them up with the Jags.

I'll still go with Bryant.

Spiller/Bryant would be a nice first round for them.

Considering Seattle got their playmaker earlier in Spiller, they've got to go OT. They should go Campbell but just to keep things interesting...

i must have missed Seattle's dealing with their 2nd round pick because i could have sworn they had a top 10 pick in the 2nd round. i guess that changes the scenario for T availability but i'm going to stick with my pick.
