All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Over/Under the Buffalo Bills draft a QB with the 41st pick in the draft? Please state why and who you think that we will pick.
I think there is a 75% chance we trade up into late 1 for a QB if we dont take Clausen at 9.
We are effectively out of the "trade for a QB" market. A team that was so serious about McNabb wont likely trade for someone worth much less... why when you could draft a guy you think highly of.
That leaves the draft. We know they want to add a 4th guy. We know they arent considering any of our current guys THE starter at this point. And if they like Clausen and hes there at 9, we pass? Or if we pass on Clausen because we don't want Clausen, but we like McCoy or Tebow, we let them go to another team because we wouldn't move up into late 1 even though we've done just that in something like 4 of the past 7 drafts?
No, I think we draft a QB by the start of round 3. And my bet is either Clausen at 9 or a move up into late 1 for Tebow or McCoy.
And it would be a disaster to take Tebow or McCoy both of whom will be nothing better than NFL backup QBs...Fitzpatrick and Edwards all over again. If they are really going to draft a developmental QB at least make it Jarrett Brown, a kid who has all the tools to develop in a good arm, good speed, athletic ability, etc.
