Report: DE Wooton visited Bills

According to the National Football Post, Northwestern DE Corey Wooton had a pre-draft visit with the Bills.

He also visited with the Patriots, Chiefs and Jets per the report with two more still scheduled with Cleveland and St. Louis. All but St. Louis are 3-4 teams and Wooton is widely considered a 3-4 end at 6′6″ and 270 pounds and possibly even a rush LB in that scheme. An ACL injury in the Alamo Bowl in 2008 kept him from coming out last year, but with proven production he’s forecast to be a second-round pick.

if he is back to 100% which he should be 2 years after his acl tear, i would take him in the 3rd round range...

He won't be there when we pick in the 3rd. If he is indead healthy, he won't get past the middle of the 2nd.

I really like him. Hopefully he's still there for the Bills in the 3rd but I doubt he will be. I see the Pats using one of their 2nd rd picks on if they don't get Odrick in the 1st.

I really like Wooton!

For his size, his burst off the line (at times) is jaw-dropping. I wouldn't mind seeing him as a Bill, but if we're going 3-4 end in the draft at some point, there are two players I'd take over him for RDE but that's about it.

only real weakness with wooton is he doesnt use his hands enough and obviously is the burst finally back after the knee inj...

I could see the Ralph going "Woot Woot Woot Woot..." whenever the guy makes a play... that is after he establishes himself as a playah

I'm a big fan of Wootton. I can't see him getting out of the 2nd, so I don't see us drafting him. I don't think DE is as much of a need as 3 or 4 other positions right now.
