Fortunately for T.J. Duckett, the Falcons' first game is three months away and he's way down the list of subjects for locals to mutter about. On the "Can you believe that?" list, Duckett comes way after Michael Adams and Dave Braine and Chan Gailey and yet another hopeless Hawks draft lottery and Michael Adams (because he's worth mentioning twice) and whoever told Gary Sheffield and Scott Boras that we care what they think of the other guy.

But it's worth noting that when the Falcons open a passing camp today, Duckett will be there. Because, folks, the second-year running back hasn't been anywhere near here...

T.J. Duckett, who missed the first two-plus months of the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program while working out with a trainer near his new home in San Diego, appears more stout than a year ago.

Most of his offseason work has been on strengthening his surgically repaired right knee. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 254 pounds as a rookie and is heavier now, although it's unclear how much. It was clear he did not enjoy post-practice sprints on the opening day of passing camp, though. ...
