...would be in play for KC.
Although Cassel's signed thru 2014, he's due a $7.5M option bonus in 2011 on top of his $4.75M salary. There's no way he sees that money if he doesn't prove to be elite in 2010. Leaving the Chiefs with no QB for 2011... Unless, of course, they draft Clausen.

Could be but I think they try and surround him with talent. You have to remember this is solely Pioli's guy. He drafted him, groomed him and now thinks he's his Brady. This guys have ego's and if Pioli drafts Clausen it will be a big shot to his.

I can't see it. If Cassel does not step it up this year they will have a top pick next year and they can address the QB in the 2011 draft.

Seattle, if not, then Cleveland.

Then five years from now everyone can ***** about the Bills bad luck.

I think KC will pass on Clausen this year, and if Cassel doesn't work out they'll address QB next season with the draft or FA (unless somebody falls into their lap in the third round that they just can't pass up.)

You know what's funny. I think that the Bills would be the best situation (out of Oakland, Cleveland, Kansas City and Seattle) for Clausen. Don't call me crazy, I just think we are way closer to being a solid, successful team than Cleveland or Oakland, and Seattle and Kansas City have their own quarterback situations to work with before they even think about adding in yet another option. Plus, they could both use help at skill positions and the o-line.

We may have a lot of holes, but I think with two solid drafts we could fill them adequately, and have ourselves a great team for a young QB such as Clausen to lead.
