2009 Comments:
09/16/09- vs. Miss St (replay)- Not very fast. A bit slow to react. Can be blocked out of plays fairly easily. Nice job staying home and making the tackle on a 3rd down run.
Comments:
9/18/2010- vs. Clemson
1st Qtr:
- Nice Pass breakup. Good job in coverage.
- Diagnosis on this play OK but isn't in position to make the play.
- Plays with a good motor and intensity coming from the opposite side of the field to help tackle the RB.
- Seems to do a good job of diagnosing. He stays where he should and is in position.
- Great job sliding and mirroring the RB and getting into the hole for the hit.
- He gets in on a lot of plays.
2nd Qtr:
14:16- Dropped the hammer in the hole on Harper and stopped him short on a big 3rd down.
12:56- A bit late realizing its a pass.
12:21- His size may hurt him, he can get pushed around fairly easy.
11:45- Took a poor angle flying into the wrong hole.
11:18- Again a bit late dropping into coverage but breaks up the pass.
8:58- Diagnoses the play and flies into the backfield for the huge play.
4:07- Again had trouble realizing it was a pass and let the TE get open on him.
3rd Qtr:
13:33- Nasty stop in the hole at the goaline.
12:34- Nasty job getting into the hole for the tackle.
11:56- He's in on everything.
7:41- Highlight play. Absolutely destroyed the RB in the backfield. Nasty hit.
3:18- Blew this big run. He didn't recognize it and ended up out of position.
4th Qtr:
12:36- Tries to make the hit to prevent the TD run but gets there a bit late.
10:12- Another nice job finding the lane and blowing up the run. Great instincts vs. the run.
3:33- More stops in the hole.
OT:
- Fantastic job wrapping up in the middle on the run.
- Drills the RB.
Bynes had a fantastic game. He was everywhere. He hits with authority, is aggressive and has very good instincts against the run. He made numerous big stops by plugging the hole. Josh did however show some slow recognition of the pass at times.
