Well, the Jets are getting ready for the Draft. They get a good one!

Steelers ship Santonio to the Jets

What a strange weekend it has been for Santonio Holmes.

Yesterday, we reported that Holmes is facing a four-game suspension under the substance abuse policy. Tonight, we're told that the Steelers have traded Holmes to the New York Jets.

More to come.

Well a defense can only improve from 567 yards rushing allowed in two games ....

You gotta be ****ing kidding me! Who the hell is Rex Ryan blowing to get all these ridiculously cheap trade deals. First they give up hardly anything to move up for Sanchez, then they give up only a little bit for Edwards. Now they basically take some lube and shove it right up the Steelers ass! A 5th rounder??? WTF!

Wow the jets are playing video games over there

but do they plan on fitting back under cap with all those players?
They have big deals coming up to Mangold, d'brick, Harris and Revis.

plus both holmes and braylon edwards contracts end this year and you would think they would want big deals.

Perhaps if they front load the contracts in the uncapped year?

That should be everyones first thought. You don't give away a SB MVP and All-Pro WR unless there is far more to the story that has yet too be told.

To be continued.

There is.

1. He's in last year of his contract.

2. PIttsburgh doesn't want to pay him

3. Pittsburgh is sick of dealing with him

4. He faces a four game suspension to start season

Rex Ryan thinks he can reform anyone. Obviously if this pans out, this is a crazy steal for the Jets.

I dont think 1 & 2 are big factors. He's not the top paid WR in the league despite very godo numbers. Its 3 and 4 that matter and a 5th...they think he'll screw up again and soon.

Plus he will most likely be suspended for 4 games I heard. The guy is even more of a thug than Marshawn, who by the way we would be fine with getting a 5th round pick for.

Do you think the NFL schedule makers might give us a break and give us the jets on week 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 so that we don't have to face the jets at their absolute best?

I wonder if Pitts dangled Holmes out there for a trade to teams outside of it's division. They could have had more than a 5th and I wonder which teams said no, including the bills.

QB don't mean anything. It's all about the line.

You are ******ed. Look at the champions. Brees, Big Ben, Eli Manning, Peyton, Brady. Is it a coincidence that these great QB's keep winning and the average, mediocre ones don't? QB is a very important position.

If the Jets had a elite franchise QB last year like any of above, they'd have won SB.

They said on ESPN, Rooney was so angry and tired of Holmes that he was close to flat out cutting him!

Down here in Picksburgh, they're speculating that it was mostly due to the last year/4 game suspension thing. He's getting paid for 12 games, and the Rooney's didn't want to deal with that. Also, with Ben already in the hot seat, they didn't need another cancer in the locker room, so they took what they could get.

really still not an impact. He was great in Pittsburgh but that was Pittsburgh. They had Big Ben the jets have an interception machine in Sanchez. The only thing the Jets have going for them is their Raven style Defense that Rex brought over. Can't wait to see how many times Sanchez gets picked off by byrd this coming season lol. I will say this the Bills finish 2nd this year mark it down. If they don't ill eat crow
