As the start of last season approached, opponents scouting the Packers likely saw Terry Glenn and "some other guy" lined up at wide receiver.

Travel three months into the future to the Sept. 7 season opener against Minnesota, and scouts will see Donald Driver and "some other guy" lined up at wide receiver.

As has been the case for the past several years, the key to the offense will be the play at wide receiver. In years past, the questions revolved around Antonio Freeman. Could he replace Robert Brooks as the marquee receiver? Then, could Freeman duplicate that monster 1998 season? Then, could he return to form? And, last season, could Terry Glenn revive his career and could Driver be an adequate No. 2 target?

As it turned out, of course, Glenn proved to be nothing more than a high-priced decoy while Driver turned into one of the league's feel-good stories.

Turn the calendar to summer 2003 and the questions remain at wide receiver. MORE (http://www.greenbaynewschron.com/packers/page.html?article=120393)
