Like Peckerwood, noone ever told me or showed me how to measure hand size. If I measure from the wrist to the tip of my middle finger, I get 8 inches. If I spread my fingers as wide apart as they'll go, I get about 8 7/8 inches from the tip of my thumb to the tip of my pinky. I know I can't palm a regulation basketball. BTW, I'm a scant 5'10" anymore. I might even be 5'9 1/2" Yeah, you start shinking as you get older. I was close to 5'11" once.

Yeah, it's from tip of thumb to tip of pinky. I'm just under 6 foot and my hand measures 9 1/4. Just enough to palm a NBA size basketball. I could always throw a football well in any conditions but I haven't had many 300 pounders falling on me to see how good my ball security is lol.

Mines 8.5 inches and I struggle to get a good grip on an NFL regulation football. Pretty impossible with a wet football or a football in freezing temps.
